I was born in Italy, where my parents met in the military. An unlikely couple...my father was a Midwest farmer...my mother a Skidmore graduate. There's was a happy union, but Mom outlived Dad by 40 years. I owe a lot to my parents for encouraging me to follow my dreams.
For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to dance and own a dance studio. I got my wish when I was 54 years old. The road that led there started out rocky: an unhappy 13-year marriage that began in San Francisco the year of the Summer of Love and ended in divorce the day John Lennon was shot. I held many corporate jobs to support myself as a single parent, and I've lived on both coasts and several states in between, before settling in New England over 20 years ago.
As a professional dancer, I traveled throughout Europe and North Africa. I love to travel, but don't do much these days because of the studio responsibilities. Once again alone, I live in a cozy home with a view of the Housatonic River, I spend time with my 9-year old granddaughter on Saturdays and teach dance all week. I'm living the life of my dreams, grateful for the support of my family and the people who love me.
